The test itself runs for 48 hours using a continuous radon monitor. A certified specialist places the equipment, then returns to retrieve it and process your results.
Our standard radon test is a flat $150, which includes the full 48-hour monitoring period and an easy-to-understand results report.
It's increasingly common as part of a home inspection during Iowa real estate transactions. Testing early gives buyers and sellers time to address any issues before they become a hurdle at closing.
The EPA recommends mitigation if your home tests at or above 4 pCi/L. If that happens, we'll walk you through your mitigation options — including whether your home can use a standard system or needs a custom setup.
